About the role
The Registered Nurse Progressive Care coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a 44-bed stepdown unit for trauma, neurosciences, surgery, and oncology patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts
- Perform procedures as ordered
- Document care accurately
- Administer medications and monitor responses
- Act as a patient advocate to support an exceptional experience
- Collaborate with medical providers to ensure optimal care
- Evaluate patient status and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years
- Current RN licensure
- BLS certification
- At least one year of nursing experience
Preferred: Master's in Nursing and national certification in specialty areas.
Skills
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Medication administration
- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures related to cardiac and medical-surgical care
