About the role
The MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute, located in Old Brooklyn, operates with bi-weekly shifts. Responsibilities
- Work with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, and Dieticians to support stroke rehabilitation.
- Perform neurological assessments and adaptive activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Train patients and families in transfer and mobility techniques.
- Provide rehabilitation-specific education to patients and families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing or a program seeking accreditation.
- Hold current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Obtain or have within 90 days of hire, a current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification.
- Have one year of relevant RN experience for PRN positions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing or another professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association preferred.
Skills
