Registered Nurse - PRN Nights | New Braunfels LTACH/Rehab

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care
• Conduct interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
• Access community resources
• Perform Charge Nurse duties if ACLS certified
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates
• Current BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days of employment)
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (AHA approved)
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
