About the role

This is a PRN Position.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient condition.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides appropriate education.
  • Delegates patient care tasks to ancillary personnel as necessary.
  • May precept student nurses and new hires.
  • Uses critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities to address complex issues.
  • Works collaboratively with patients and families to develop and implement a patient-centered care plan.
  • Partners with the healthcare consumer to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Adheres to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver’s license).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
  • Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.

Qualifications

  • Required: Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
  • Preferred: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Preferred: Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Preferred: Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification (obtain within 1 year of hire).
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of hospital nursing experience preferred.
