Registered Nurse - Med Surg (PRN)

Position: RN - Med Surg, PRN Role Overview: Join a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit providing care for patients with diverse diagnoses, including acute illnesses like pneumonia and sepsis, as well as chronic conditions such as diabetes and COPD. The RN is responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes. This role involves managing pre- and post-operative pain, wound care, monitoring for complications, and supporting recovery. Responsibilities Assess patient needs and plan individualized care.Administer treatments and monitor patient progress.Coordinate with healthcare team to optimize outcomes.Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).Current RN license in the state or with compact licensure.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications BSN degree (preferred).Previous nursing experience.Additional specialty certifications based on department needs.
