Registered Nurse: PRN (Children's Residential)

About the role

We have a PRN opportunity for nurses who feel driven to help children with special needs and want the flexibility to work as their schedule allows. Join us at Devereux where you can work in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Programs (PRTF) for adolescent females and males with a Behavioral Health and/or IDD/Autism diagnoses at our West Chester, PA location.

Responsibilities

• Work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.
• Provide clinical treatment, educational instruction and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders.

• Participate in comprehensive training in crisis prevention/intervention, trauma informed care, CPR, first aid, and cultural competencies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D.
• Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• One year of post-education nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions.
• Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
• Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D.
