Registered Nurse PRN

About the role

The role involves performing nursing functions to support and enhance the medical role in the treatment of consumers for withdrawal management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and document the physical and behavioral status of the consumer.
• Consult with physicians or nurse practitioners as needed.
• Accurately and timely provide required clinical information to Managed Care Organizations for obtaining authorizations.
• Document services provided in a clear, timely, and personalized manner.
• Ensure documentation complies with NET, CARF, and licensing standards.
• Show knowledge of ASAM, Subutex protocols, withdrawal management, blood alcohol content, accucheck, pregnancy testing, and medication management.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of PA (or DE) and have knowledge of medical and clinical requirements related to substance use and behavioral healthcare.
• At least three years of experience in a clinical capacity.
• Computer competence and proficiency are required.
• Must complete American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) level of care certification within 45 days of hire.
