Registered Nurse Prime Weekend Medical Surgical Unit Full Time Nights

About the role

We’re looking for a full time Weekend Prime Nights RN to join our team at Community Hospital South. RN's on this team enjoy the location, and the nurse to patient ratio. The RN's help provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Community Hospital/Northwest Surgical Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates treatment plans. RN's always works as a team member within the entire facility and help perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to post-surgical patients in Med-Surg/ICU according to policy and procedure and care standards.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes post-surgery/recovery, and anticipated complications.
• Captures and documents patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Affirms the patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
• Acts to protect and advance the patient’s best interest.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
• BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire. ACLS required within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software.
