Registered Nurse PreOp PACU

About the role

The RN PACU is responsible for providing quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. They support the mission, vision, and values of St. Thomas Surgery Center Clarksville.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations.
• Reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid RN license in the state.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Experience in an ambulatory surgical center is preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications required.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of perioperative services and procedures.
