Registered Nurse PreOp PACU
About the role
As a PRN Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse at Briarcliff Ambulatory Surgery Center, you will plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients in accordance with accepted standards of care. You will ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards. This role cares for patients of all ages, from 1 month to geriatric.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients.
- Ensure high-quality and safe patient care in compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and Federal/State standards.
- Make decisions based on nursing judgment and prioritize/organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in the state.
- ACLS certification required.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Schedule
- Weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call.
- Some later evenings required.
