Position Highlights

Position: Registered Nurse – Pre Procedure Services
Location: 4901 Searle Pkwy Skokie IL
Part Time, 20 hours per week
Hours: 9a to 5:30p M-F, No calls or weekends

What You Will Need

  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years-experience in peri anesthesia (PAT, Pre-op, PACU/Phase 2)
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Proficiency in EPIC Application

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrates a commitment to the mission of Endeavor Health, exhibits a positive service orientation, and adheres to all responsibilities and standards of the organization.
  • Conducts patient interview via telephone prior to scheduled surgeries to obtain and share procedural information and directions.
  • Provides patient education via telephone related to upcoming surgery.
  • Informs patient of pre-anesthetic evaluation process.
  • Collaborates closely with the Anesthesia provider team.
  • Safeguards required pre-surgical testing is completed prior to patient surgical appointment.
  • Integrates research findings into nursing practice.
  • Works cohesively with related nursing areas prior to surgical procedure.
  • Maintains knowledge of nursing procedures specific to different service lines.
  • Maintains knowledge and competency reflective of current standards of nursing practice.
  • Promotes hospital quality improvement goals.
  • Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
  • Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
  • Guides and directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
  • Communicates and collaborates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
  • Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes high quality patient experience.

Pay

The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.
