About the role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patient needs and development of care plans
• Technical skills in administering medications and treatments
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Critical thinking and problem-solving in clinical settings

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Completion of a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership
• Additional certifications may be required based on department standards

Qualifications

• Experience in areas such as PreOp, PACU, ICU, and ER
