About the role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service.
• Deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Licenses & Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Registered Nurse, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Basic Life Support.
• Additional Qualifications: Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree in Nursing. RNs hired prior to certain dates are not required to have a BSN. RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN degree within 3 years. RNs must complete a preceptor class within 12 months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• Experience: RN experience in Oncology preferred.
