Registered Nurse - Pre Operative

About the Role

This position involves providing independent nursing care in a clinical setting, addressing routine and complex patient needs while demonstrating professionalism and clinical judgment. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately and manages patient care plans aligned with long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitor for side effects, and document all pertinent information.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state or a compact license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience in perioperative or similar settings is preferred.
• Must complete organizational orientation, competency validations, and annual requirements.

Certifications & Credentialing

• Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and other specialty-specific credentials must be obtained within designated grace periods based on experience level.
• Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to licensing standards.

Schedule

Full-time role with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts.
