About the role
Join the Pre-op PACU IR Cath team at IU Health West, where you'll work alongside leading physicians and multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes. Nurses in this department have the unique opportunity to make an immediate impact while developing expertise in cardiac and interventional procedural nursing.
Responsibilities
- Guide patients through their procedural experience while utilizing advanced nursing skills, clinical judgment, and compassionate care.
- Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology procedures, and interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher degree.
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One (1) year of recent critical care nursing experience required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Skills
- Advanced life support certifications may be required based on department specialty and patient care policies.
