Registered Nurse (Pre-Op/PACU)

About the role

The Pre-Op/Post Op Registered Nurse will provide exemplary patient care alongside Physicians in treating cataracts, glaucoma, diseases of the cornea, and performing laser vision correction surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Exercise good clinical judgement during Pre-Op/Post Op care
• Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced PACU and OR
• Exhibit sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Assist in the overall management and leadership of the Surgical Center
• Provide outstanding patient care on a daily basis
• Work with Anesthesia providers on sedation
• Carefully monitor patients
• Prepare patient for surgery and manage recovery and discharge procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current California RN license
• Experience in a surgical setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of surgical nursing practices
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively

Skills

• Proficient in electronic health record systems
• Skilled in patient education and counseling
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• $60,000 - $70,000 annually

Schedule

• 8 hour shifts
• Monday through Friday
• No holidays or weekends
