Registered Nurse - PM/Nights

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, documenting treatments, and evaluating outcomes. Ensures a safe, therapeutic environment, collaborates with departments for patient admissions and transfers, and communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Contributes to department goals, participates in professional development, supervises direct care, and manages resources within budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Document treatments and evaluate patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient admissions and transfers
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Supervise direct care staff and provide training
• Participate in quality improvement activities and professional development
• Manage resources within budget constraints

Requirements

• Nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor's)
• Current Illinois RN license
• CPR certification
• CPI certification (within 90 days of hire)

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Psychiatric nursing experience
• Knowledge of abnormal psychology and therapeutic systems
