Registered Nurse - Per Diem / PRN

About the role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability, evaluating care effectiveness, and coordinating with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality, aligning duties with organizational mission and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care across various departments
• Assess patient needs and perform duties in line with professional and organizational standards
• Support team collaboration and interdisciplinary coordination
• Demonstrate flexibility to work different shifts and locations, including responding to last-minute schedule changes

• Provide safe, effective patient care
• Evaluate care outcomes and maintain confidentiality

• Demonstrate adaptability, accountability, and adherence to organizational standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current RN license and compliance with state requirements
• Minimum of one year recent bedside RN experience for Med Surg; two years for specialty areas (e.g., ED or ICU)
• Certifications: BLS (required); ACLS and PALS for critical care areas

Skills

• Strong clinical skills and physical ability to lift patients and stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and last-minute changes
• Epic experience preferred
