About the Role
Provide per diem nursing care in the Emergency Department during night shifts, serving pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including assessments, interventions, and care adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments on diverse patient populations.
- Evaluate and manage pain, educate patients and families about pain relief techniques.
- Utilize triage processes to prioritize and deliver timely care, accurately assigning triage categories.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse managers, and team members regarding patient conditions and diagnostic results.
- Participate in hiring and contribute to clinical and managerial functions within the emergency department.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience.
- Current RN license within the practicing state.
- Current BCLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- Optional certifications: ENPC and TNCC.
