Responsibilities
- Able to identify immediate and long range plans for patient care and includes both the patient and family in the plan
- Sets priorities for the patients needs, making decisions which reflect sound judgement
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
- Monitors the patients clinical status and assess for significant change
- Communicates clearly with patient, family members, physicians, and team members to ensure patient needs are met
- Safely administers medication on time and in accordance with the Hospital's policies
- Performs venipuncture and starts intravenous lines safely
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Minimum 1 year experience in coronary care practice
