Registered Nurse, Per Diem Days, 7a-7p, Cardiac Cath Lab, Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center

About the role

The Cath Lab RN provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. They support clinical excellence, fellow education, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice while delivering safe and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, PCI, Structural Heart/TAVR and peripheral vascular procedures
• Function in circulator, monitor and scrub roles across multiple Cath Lab Suites
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergent cases
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum of [2] years of experience in Critical Care, ICU, ER, or Cath Lab
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Prior Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Cardiology experience
• Moderate sedation certification
• RCIS or CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain)
