About the role
Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) providing direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiac Special Care unit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families.
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness, modify plans as needed, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Support teamwork through delegation, problem-solving, and active participation in unit initiatives.
- Promote patient safety, participate in quality improvement activities, and adhere to organizational policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from a specialty nursing training program.
- Experience in Cardiac Step-down, including managing titrating IV medications, BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen, is required.
- Strong assessment, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and work effectively within a team.
Key Duties
- Provide specialized nursing care on a 14-bed unit, support patient education, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and participate in safety and quality initiatives.
- Promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning in a secure and supportive environment.
