Registered Nurse - Per-Diem

Position: RN SANE Program, providing specialized care for adult and adolescent sexual assault survivors in an emergency setting. Responsibilities: Conducts medical forensic exams, assessments, forensic specimen collection, photographic documentation, and provides compassionate, non-judgmental care. Collaborates with emergency staff, law enforcement, advocates, and legal professionals. Attends peer review meetings, courtroom proceedings, and ensures compliance with standards and protocols. Maintains detailed documentation and adheres to forensic and nursing guidelines. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), current Illinois RN license, certification in AA SANE training, computer literacy (Epic training if needed), and preferably forensic nursing experience. Ability to work on-call hours and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Key Duties: Perform forensic examinations, documentation, and specimen collection; stay compliant with professional standards; participate in meetings, training, and legal proceedings; and deliver patient-centered, trauma-informed care.
