About the role
Responsible for providing high-quality, individualized infusion therapy care to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for infusion center patients.
- Proficient in vascular access, medication preparation, administration, and disposal.
- Follow policies and procedures, maintain safety, and integrate research into practice.
- Collaborate with team members, promote safety, and supervise staff as needed.
- Document thoroughly and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of staff nurse experience; infusion or hematology/oncology experience preferred.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
- Current Illinois Nursing license and CPR certification required; chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred.
- Skilled in vascular access, medication handling, patient care, teamwork, safety, and professional development.
- Ability to recognize and respond to varied clinical situations and promote a safe environment.
