About the role
Inpatient Registered Nurse in Pediatric PACU, providing direct patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer treatments and medications, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and participate in patient discharge planning.
- Engage in quality and safety initiatives, troubleshoot equipment, and contribute to evidence-based practice and unit goals.
- Provide holistic care addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Ensure patient and family education.
- Participate in safety and quality improvement activities.
- Support team members in achieving organizational objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate from a nursing specialty training program.
- Ability to perform assessments and interventions within scope of practice.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Environment
Typically performed in a clinical setting, with requirements including day/night shift rotation, some weekends and holidays.
