About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills, providing effective direct care, and coordinating patient care/unit activities.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing practices based on evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care.
• Performs comprehensive data collection and assessment, recognizing clinical and diagnostic status changes, and developing a plan of care.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates with patients, families, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members.
• Administers medications using advanced technologies and documents care accurately.
• Discharges patients safely and ensures a smooth transition to the next phase of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and initiates interventions as necessary.
• Adapts to changing patient needs and maintains a high standard of patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate's degree in Nursing or a diploma in Nursing.
• BSN in progress and willing to obtain within three years of hire.
• A current and valid Registered Nurse license at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Six or more months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and passion for delivering high-quality care.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Pay

Competitive base pay with potential for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions. Minimum rate of $48.18 per hour. For full details, refer to the job description.
