Registered Nurse - Pediatric ICU

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), supporting critically ill children with diverse medical needs, including transplant and multi-organ conditions. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing a family-centered care model, and may float to other units or work in a hybrid ICU setting. Key Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient interventions, education, and care transitions.Participate in planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating nursing activities.Show leadership through mentoring, committee participation, and quality improvement efforts.Delegate tasks based on patient acuity, skill level, and resource availability.Support the pediatric transport team for critical patient transfers. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Minimum of one year RN experience.Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.Computer proficiency; experience with electronic medical records preferred.Current RN licensure, BLS certification, and additional state or specialty certifications as required.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
