Registered Nurse - Pediatric Critical Care Charge Nurse

About the Role

Provides leadership and coordination of unit staffing to ensure clinical objectives and quality patient care are met.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing/support staff during shifts; participates in performance evaluations.
• Assesses patient care needs, develops care assignments, and collaborates with advanced practice providers to optimize outcomes.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care, addresses patient care issues, and manages complaints through established channels.
• May contribute to hiring, training, and staff development.
• Performs duties in a safe, alert manner and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Physical ability for standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and other movements common in clinical settings.
• Valid state-specific RN license.
• BLS and ACLS or equivalent certifications, plus relevant specialty certifications depending on location.
• CPR and advanced life support certifications.
