Position Overview
The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
Skills
- Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery ICU experience is required.
- Strong cardiac monitoring skills.
- Central/Arterial line management.
- Pacemaker management.
- Heart transplant experience preferred.
- ECMO experience is a plus, but not required.
Schedule Notes
- 13-week assignment.
- Day/Night Rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730), 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every 3rd weekend.
- Floating is required as needed to other areas within the Children's Center, including NICU and General Pediatric care areas.
- 6 months of previous travel required, 1 year strongly preferred.
- Two years of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery ICU experience required.
