Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Role Overview The registered nurse (RN) will provide specialized care in a pediatric cardiovascular surgical and transplant intensive care unit, focusing on postoperative management of pediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery, heart/lung transplants, and medical devices such as ECMO. Key Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions.Utilize a family-centered care model within a multidisciplinary team approach, ensuring around-the-clock assessment and interventions.Develop skills in caring for complex congenital cardiac patients and those with advanced medical devices.Cross-train to the Pediatric ICU, with potential hybrid shifts between units.Participate in leadership activities, quality improvement, and mentoring. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience.Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and computer skills.Current RN license, BLS certification, and relevant state licensure.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
