About the role
The Registered Nurse will join the dynamic mental health workforce at St George Mental Health PECC Unit, providing emergency care and focusing on recovery-based care. Located on the St George Hospital campus, close to beaches and amenities, the role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to consumers in need
- Engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Deliver high quality patient care in Mental Health at a post graduate level
- Assess and manage risk within the mental health environment
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage with patients/clients and guide others in providing service excellence
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles and commitment to consumer, family and carer participation
- Proven experience in the provision of care and assessment and management of risk within the mental health environment
Qualifications

Pay
$81,748.17 - $114,771.98 per annum, plus superannuation
