Registered Nurse - Part Time - Days

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse promotes patient health by assessing, planning, and providing quality care in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with patients and families, understanding their care needs and establishing care goals.
• Offer emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and self-care, promoting independence.
• Ensure safe, high-quality care by adhering to standards, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control policies, and ensure a safe environment.
• Accurately document patient care and communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
• Manage supplies, participate in professional development, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide culturally sensitive, compassionate, patient-centered service, addressing needs and concerns.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current NYS RN licensure.
• BLS certification (preferred).
• Experience in similar settings and a BSN degree are advantageous.
