Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition and pain levels
- Prepare patients and equipment for pain block procedures
- Maintain sterile technique during procedures
- Perform mixed pain block techniques safely
- Document procedures and patient responses accurately
- Provide patient education on pain management and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Monitor patients throughout and after procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications
- Licensure/Certifications: Current NYS RN License, Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience: 1+ Year of nursing experience preferred
- Skills: Strong patient assessment and IV therapy skills, Experience in postoperative care and orthopedic patient management, Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical thinking abilities, Familiarity with safety protocols and maintaining a safe care environment
