Registered Nurse PACU PRN

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
• Avoid preparing the operating room for surgical procedures
• Avoid ensuring proper functioning and availability of surgical equipment and supplies
• Avoid collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
• Avoid monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery
• Avoid maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols
• Avoid participating in patient education and discharge planning
• Avoid documenting patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
• Avoid contributing to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
• Avoid staying current with advances in surgical techniques and perioperative nursing practices

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience
• Currently licensed in the State of Maryland
• ACLS provider completion within 1 year of employment in the following departments: ICU/IMC, PACU, Interventional Radiology, GI Lab, and ED
• PALS completion within 1 year of employment in the following departments: PACU and Emergency Department
• BLS provider completion
