About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for a variety of complex patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data and performs age and disease-specific assessments.
• Develops and coordinates a plan of care that addresses patient needs and outcomes.
• Communicates with patients and families, other healthcare providers, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Administers medications safely and efficiently using advanced technologies.
• Evaluates patient progress and initiates appropriate interventions based on clinical observations.
• Identifies and addresses ethical issues in the practice setting.
• Participates in the Nurse Residency Program to acquire necessary competencies and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six or more months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and strong patient focus.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
