About the Role
Provide professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
- Perform circulating duties such as monitoring patient condition, recording, communicating, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
Requirements
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, from AHA or Red Cross.
- Minimum of a diploma from an accredited nursing program and at least one year of RN experience.
