About the role
Performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill for carrying out the nursing regimen in support of medical care, based upon the principles of the biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assesses patient needs and develops and implements nursing care plans.
- Monitors patient progress and reports changes to healthcare providers.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documents patient care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
- Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience in gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
Skills
- Competence as a nursing practitioner.
