About the role
The Registered Nurse will lead the healthcare team in the Operating Room at Novant Health, providing compassionate care and managing a 1:1 ratio of 17 OR rooms.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a leader of the healthcare team, establishing an authentic personalized relationship with patients and their support systems.
- Collaborates with physicians and other team members to develop and implement an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death.
- Utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist patients in navigating their health journeys.
- Manages and provides care according to current policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Prior operating room experience required.
Qualifications
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
- To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Full time day shift, 6:45A-7:15P (36 hours), 3 12's within a window of M-F, some call/weekend call requirements. Details on schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
