Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for procedures
- Aids during retinal procedures
- Maintains patient safety
- Obtains Prior Authorizations / Appeals
- Provides education on treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Administers medications
- Maintains accurate documentation
- Ensures compliance with infection prevention and safety standards
- Collaborates with physicians and clinic staff to support efficient workflow and deliver an exceptional patient experience
- Floates as needed across clinic areas
- Assists with general Ambulatory Clinic needs
- Supports communication workflows such as message pools
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
- Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
- Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
