We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at HCA HealthONE Centennial, part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Apply specialized OR nursing skills to serve specific age groups, including adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations.
- Prepare for procedures and surgeries by ensuring adequate stock and appropriate equipment are available in assigned areas.
- Assist with post-procedure tasks, including cleaning rooms between procedures, storing unused supplies, and setting up for the next procedure.
- Teach, supervise, and serve as a resource, delegating tasks based on staff competency levels.
- Rotate to areas outside the OR as needed, performing only duties for which you have demonstrated competency.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or an active multi-state RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of one year of experience in the perioperative (OR) setting as a Circulating RN.
- ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- CNOR certification preferred.
