Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Established by a group of community physicians in 1999, the center focuses on:

This full-time OR RN opportunity offers a convenient day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations.
  • Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
  • Communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists continuously about patient condition.
  • Assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Assess operating room/procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness; obtain supplies for individual cases.
  • Ensure all appropriate needs of the surgical operating team are met.
  • Monitor, position, and assist patients during procedures.
  • Provide communication between team members in the surgical field and those outside the OR.
  • Inform the charge nurse of case progress and report any unusual circumstances.
  • Obtain needed supplies and equipment for each specific procedure.
  • Verify suctions, lights, and other needed equipment for proper functioning.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient OR setting or in an acute care setting in the OR preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
