Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Full-Time)

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a surgical setting, supporting vascular, cardiothoracic, and general OR procedures. Ensures a safe, efficient operative environment by performing circulating and scrub functions, monitoring patient condition, and managing surgical supplies. Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating environment, review patient records, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor patient status during surgery, document interventions, and maintain sterile fields.
• Handle surgical instruments, perform counts, and assist during procedures.
• Provide nursing care to high-acuity surgical patients, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license and at least 6 months OR nursing experience or completion of a fellowship.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Critical thinking, decisiveness, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
