Registered Nurse Operating Room - Center for Orthopedic Surgery - Per Diem

About the role

The Perioperative Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and family support throughout the three phases of the surgical experience. This position provides the physician members of the healthcare team with the equipment, supplies and support to perform surgical/endoscopic procedures. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• CURRENT Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• CURRENT BLSHCP.
• ACLS certification recommended.
• Certified Perianesthesia Ambulatory Nurse (CPAN), Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPN), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
• Prior ambulatory/operating room nursing experience preferred.
• The ability to effectively communicate with others and adjust to changes within daily schedule of activities required.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
