Registered Nurse/Operating Room

Position Requirements CA license and certifications must be in hand for submission. Shift Requirements: 5 x 8-hour shifts, with start times between 6:45 AM and 8:30 AM. Weekend and holiday on-call requirements: 24-hour coverage. Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level 2 facility. 2 years of circulating experience in a community hospital setting. Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), Plastic Surgery, and Robotics. Conscious sedation experience is required. Certification Requirements CA RN LicensureBLS (Basic Life Support)PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)NIHSS Certification Preferred Qualifications 2 years of experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level 2 facility. Experience with a variety of surgical procedures. Unit Information Our unit provides individualized nursing care based on the fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology. Nurses will apply the nursing process to care for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This role requires knowledge of standards of care, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including medication doses, purposes, interactions, side effects, and reactions.
