Registered Nurse, Operating Room Ambulatory Surgery, Full Time Day

To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
• Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit-based orientation.
• Computer and keyboard skills.
• Medical terminology required.

Skills

• Physical and cognitive requirements include a full range of body motion such as physically assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
• Classified as Very Heavy Work: exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant talking and listening in English.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity and understanding relayed information.
• Deductive and inductive reasoning skills (applying general rules to specific problems and combining pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions).
• Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying.
• Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, and manage changing tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Ability to function competently in stressful situations and adapt to a changing work environment related to patient needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health system team (e.g., MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc.).
• Effective time management skills to set priorities, perform responsibilities, problem-solve, and deliver care.

Pay

Pay Range: $47.80 - $59.75 per hour.
