Registered Nurse - OP Adult Intensive Services (62102)

About the role

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate and driven Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Adult Intensive Services team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, client-centered nursing care within a dynamic division that provides daily, specialized support while helping individuals maintain vital connections to their families and communities. You’ll thrive in a collaborative yet autonomous environment, partnering with multidisciplinary teams and navigating complex systems to support recovery and stability for adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders.

Schedule

Five 8-hour weekday shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber).
• Perform nursing interventions for which an RN has been trained.
• Observe, identify and monitor condition of patient, including changes in symptoms, and relate same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
• Administer injections and medications, as required.
• Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
• Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
• Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
• In a timely manner, accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization's procedures.
• Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
• Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
• Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.

Requirements

• Associate's in Nursing required. A bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Active Colorado RN license (out-of-state multi-state or compact licenses are not sufficient).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to administer medications and injections.
• Effective communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.
• Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience, especially supporting adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.

Qualifications

• Annual influenza (flu) shot and negative TB test results required prior to first day of hire (medical and religious exemptions may be requested).

Pay

Starting wage is based on licensure and company equity. $36.56 - $44.00 hourly. Paid bi-weekly.

Bilingual Language Differential Pay: Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid bi-weekly across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full-time equivalency (FTE).
