Registered Nurse - Oncology Unit

Role Overview: Oncology nurses provide compassionate care to patients and families throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatments to symptom management and end-of-life comfort. They build meaningful patient relationships and support emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing duties including assessments, medication administration, IV starts, dressing changes, and port maintenance.Develop and implement personalized care plans based on patient and family needs, adjusting as necessary.Ensure accurate documentation of care and procedures for team coordination.Support patient safety by reporting hazards and incidents.Assist with specialized procedures like bone marrow aspirations and chemotherapy/biotherapy administration.Provide emotional support to patients and families, fostering a compassionate environment.Communicate effectively with team members and offer professional feedback for growth. Qualifications & Skills Licensed RN with at least 1 year of experience.Current BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).Educational background in nursing with a diploma or higher.Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt care plans.Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered approach.
