Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care, ensuring accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by team members. They coordinate patient care across departments, uphold patient rights, and maintain confidentiality, aligning with organizational standards and values.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care during 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends
- Administering treatments, medications, and therapies, including chemotherapy and radiation
- Monitoring patients with remote telemetry and managing complex needs such as wound care and pain management
- Supporting end-of-life care in collaboration with Hospice teams
- Evaluating care effectiveness and maintaining professional standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the applicable state
- Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association)
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform various movements
