The Inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) at United Health Services (UHS) provides compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and management of complex oncologic conditions. About the role
Primary department: MT5 Med-Surg Oncology, UHS Wilson Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and management of complex oncologic conditions.
- Support patients and families through all phases of the cancer journey, including treatment, symptom management, and supportive care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to foster a culture of teamwork and shared learning.
Requirements
- Current NYS RN License.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Qualifications
- Minimum Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
Pay
- Compensation range: $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience.
- Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.
Schedule
- Primary work shift: Evening Rotational.
- Regular scheduled weekly hours: 24.
