Registered Nurse Oncology

About the role

Provides care and coordinates the delivery of oncology treatments often in intensive care conditions to assigned patients in a medical oncology facility. Supervises and provides nursing care to cancer patients. Monitors patient's condition, develops care plans and symptom management protocols, and administers medication.

Responsibilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing, RN Diploma, or BSN)
• If attended an approved nursing school, must have two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years

Experience

• One year experience required

Credentials

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS & ACLS through AHA or Red Cross
• Oncology nurse certification
• Oncology chemo/Bio certification
